Discovering our North American and European Ancestors

From Europe ...

The earliest known ancestors resided mainly in central and southern Germany, calling the towns of Karlsdorf (Dettenheim), Bisingen, and Nentershausen home for many generations before coming to America.

Welcome

This site is dedicated to sharing the 31+ years of genealogical research I have done tracing my ancestor's journey from Germany and western Europe to the United States.

If you find a common ancestor on my site, please let me know. I am more than happy to share copies of pictures and documents that are not posted to this site with you. I have met many wonderful second-, third-, and fourth-cousins through my research.

... to North America

From the period of 1870 to 1923, our ancestors made the ocean voyage to America. They settled mainly in western and central New York and western Pennsylvania, planting roots in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh.
